Nursery Super Heroes Sports Day

Our youngest pupils enjoyed their very first sports day. They were all super heroes .

An exciting two weeks for the Nursery

Over the last 2 weeks the Nursery children have had such a brilliant time, learning the story of the Little Red Hen, baking their own bread and even looking after baby chicks! We received 9 eggs last Monday and from Tuesday to Thursday the Nursery children waited with excitement as they watched 9 eggs hatch! We have had 7 girl chicks and 2 boy chicks hatch. The Nursery children have been able to stroke and watch the little chicks grow and develop over the last week and a half. The Nursery has been buzzing with excitement, awe and wonder! On Friday they will return to the farm where they will be able to enjoy the outdoor environment. We will be sad to see the chicks leave but what a learning experience we have had in Nursery, first hand real life experience that we will never forget 😊

Nursery Rhymes to learn

We will be learning lots of different songs and rhymes to help support our children's language acquisition. These are some of our favourites from each term! Please listen to these lots at home and give your child the opportunity to sing them and learn the words.
We would love it if you could film your child singing the songs and put it on evidence me.

Nursery Rhymes and songs

Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year, celebrating the Year of the Dragon in the Nursery class.

Story from Santa

The nursery children, listened very well as you can see, to a story told by Santa.

Prickly Hay

Our youngest children performed so confidently to the whole school and to parents, performing a version of the nativity called Prickly Hay. They sang and danced beautifully and the main characters and narrators remembered their lines and spoke out clearly.
Congratulations to staff who stage directed and costumed 90 plus children.

Nursery walk to the local park

The nursery children took a walk to the local park to develop their physical skills and to experience the local area. As you can see by their smiley faces, they had a great time 😊
